Ellespa at Repulse Bay has pregnancy massage starting at $475. Therapists are internationally trained in medically approved pregnancy treatments and use specially imported products. All pregnancy massages are performed on beds designed with a moveable cut-out that allows the expectant mum to lie flat on her tummy, even up to her ninth month.

Ellespa's 90-minute 'pregnancy pampering treatment' begins with a back massage and a mineral foot soak. A warm mud mask is applied to the back, followed by exfoliation of dry skin on the arms and legs, a moisturising oil rub down, and finally a pink mud application to the bust and belly to help prevent stretch marks. This treatment costs $750. Ellespa also has a Total Indulgence for Mum-to-Be package, incorporating the above signature treatment plus a facial, pedicure and gentle foot massage. This ensures the client leaves with great-looking feet (even if she cannot see her feet). This 2?-hour package costs $1,350.

Elemis Day Spa in Central has a newly launched 'nurturing massage' to address hormonal changes experienced during pregnancy. These changes can affect skin, nails, hair and physical and emotional well-being. Using the latest pregnancy massage techniques, the treatment works with two heartbeats as one with the mother through the power of touch. Massage takes place on a special beanbag designed to ensure comfort and relaxation. The beanbag supports the body, aiding free movement and allowing the mother-to-be to turn without stress.

Nurturing Massage relieves tension in the upper and lower back, while alleviating swelling in the hands and feet. Using penetrating Japanese products to moisturise and condition the skin, the therapist's gentle, calming strokes stimulate circulation without placing strain on the heart. The massage techniques are specially adapted for each trimester of pregnancy. One treatment is recommended every two weeks during the first and second trimester, followed by one treatment every week in the third trimester.

A 60-minute massage starts at $790.
