WALK TO SAVE THE WETLANDS

The annual Discover Mai Po Charity Walk will be held on three consecutive Sundays on November 28 and December 5 and 12 to raise funds for the Mai Po Nature Reserve and to increase public awareness of the need to protect the wetlands.

Participants will not only have a chance to watch wetland creatures such as the mudskipper and fiddler crab, they will also see the endangered black-faced spoonbill.

There will be check points and exhibits which provide information on our natural environment and the history of Mai Po along the route.

Participants are encouraged to submit photos they take on the walk of the scenery. Selected entries will be displayed at the Mai Po 20th anniversary exhibition early next year.

Souvenirs will be given to those who raise the designated amount of funds.

Application forms can be obtained from www.wwf.org.hk/dmp.
