There are many awards that actors aspire to. The Oscars, the Emmy's and even TVB's 'My Favourite Actor/Actress' titles. These awards are more than just recognition of their efforts and a chance for them to get all emotional on stage. They are also indicators of the artists' success, popularity and standing. So when TVB published its 2005 calendar, everyone was eager to see who made the cut. Next year's calendar uses a traditional Chinese street as background, and features stars in groups of two or three for each month. Charmaine Sheh See-man is the January girl, but her War and Beauty co-stars Sheren Tang Shui-man and Gigi Lai Chi didn't make it into the calendar; the photographs were taken before the show was aired. Actor Lai Lok-yi joins Miss Hong Kong 2001 Shirley Yeung See-ki and matriarch Nancy Sit Ka-yin (below) for February. Notably missing, however, is the star of the new TVB anniversary show The Conqueror's Story, Maggie Cheung Ho-yee. As you can see from the photo, we're not sure if this one-metre long calendar will be an improvement to any wall.
