While some people bring back exotic souvenirs after a trip, independent musician Chet Lam Yat-fung prefers to return with beautiful melodies. These are featured in his latest album Travelogue, Too.

Comprising 13 catchy but unique Canto-pop songs - including a cover version of Tat Ming Pair's classic A Lover's Odyssey - the album is proof of Lam's extraordinary talent in singing and songwriting.

It opens with the light-hearted track CL 411. Peppered with Lam's distinctive folk-rock style, the track takes listeners on a personal musical journey about love and growing up.

Lam is at his best when he uses his high-pitched voice as a musical instrument of its own accord. The best examples of this are Lovers' Lullaby - which is sung without lyrics - and the heartfelt ballad A Cigarette Without You. There is an element of weightlessness in Lam's singing which transforms his songs - even the sad ones - into uplifting and cheerful musical gems.
