Tee off in style with the latest in golf clubs, footwear, clothing and accessories

TaylorMade Rescue Mid (1)

Smart golfers  are discovering that the hybrid club or 'driving-iron' can be a very handy weapon.

As its name suggests, the hybrid combines the best attributes of a metal wood and an iron. The shaft is about the same length as a 3-iron,  making it easier to handle than a fairway metal. But the head is thicker than an iron, giving it a bigger sweet spot.  Available at Golf House  for $1,350.

Odyssey White Hot putter (2)

Demand is still red hot for Odyssey's White Hot two-ball putter, which Golf House is selling for $1,100. Aficionados argue that the two white circles behind the putter face make it easier to keep the ball on line.

Titleist Scotty Cameron putter (3)

Plenty more are snapping up Titleist's Scotty Cameron putter, despite a price tag almost double the size. It looks and feels remarkably like the original Ping putters, but with more weight in the head.  Available at the Golf House for about $2,200.

TaylorMade r7 Quad driver (4)

Wish your drives would fly lower and longer, with a slight draw? Then maybe it's time you tested the r7 Quad.

It allows golfers to insert cartridges of different weights into four points within the head of the club to help control  trajectory and direction. Or so the theory goes.

This club is aimed at mid-to-low markers who have some ability to shape the ball. It retails at the Golf House for $4,400.

King Cobra 3400I / XH irons (5, 6)

These are sure to become the king of the clubs for the high handicap player when they are launched here this month. A big clubface and a small weight at the back of the club create a larger sweet spot and higher ball launch.  A set of seven irons will cost about $7,500 (see stocklist).

Titleist Hybrid 503-H (7)

For the lower handicapper, Titleist has developed a club that looks more like an iron than a fairway metal, but is still more forgiving than your standard long iron. It comes in either 19 or 22 degree loft and sells for about $1,800 (see stocklist).

Lugging your full set of clubs to the driving range doesn't make a lot of sense when you can use a stylish practice bag from Titleist. The lightweight range bag, which can comfortably carry a driver, a few irons and wedges, sells for only $350 (see stocklist).

Nike Sports Performance shoes (9)

These are based on a more contemporary, athletic shoe design.  Made of lightweight, synthetic leather, they are water-resistant and super comfortable.

The ladies' version, in Quicksand with a white swoosh, is available for $649 at Golf House.

Footjoy GTX glove (10)

Pure leather gloves might feel great but they won't last more than three or four games. Synthetic leather is the smart  choice, and Footjoy's GTX glove is one of the best.  Available  at Golf House for $105.

Titleist Pro V1 balls (11)

It's probably true that most mid-to-high handicap golfers spend more on golf balls than they should, either because they are overly brand-conscious or they simply lose too many of them. Regardless, plenty of golfers are happy to fork out $400 for a dozen Titleist ProV1 balls, undoubtedly among the most popular in Hong Kong.

Footjoy Gel Fusion shoes (12)

With winter approaching, you can bet the big demand will be for Footjoy's Gel Fusion shoes. These are among the few truly waterproof leather shoes on the market. With lots of cushioning in the heel and around the ankle, they sell for $1,250 at Golf House.

Cutter & Buck jacket (13)

With winter approaching, it's time to start thinking about cold weather gear. Cutter & Buck's microfibre jacket is  lightweight, waterproof and 12 times more windproof than standard jackets.

Golf House have some discounted down to $600 from $980.

Alternatively, DryJoy make top quality, lightweight, waterproof jackets that retail for about $1,200 (see stocklist).
