Two more jockeys found themselves on the outer after yesterday's Sha Tin fixture, with Robbie Fradd paying a high price for his winning breakthrough on the Tony Cruz-trained Perpetual Pleasure.
Fradd was charged with careless riding for allowing Perpetual Pleasure to drift in as he went past the pack near the 200 metres. The worst affected horse was Surveyor, whose rider Brett Prebble had to check the John Moore-trained galloper out of a sandwich.
Fradd was found guilty and suspended for two meetings, as well as being fined $15,000. That brings Fradd's 'donations' for the week to $65,000, after he was debited $50,000 at Happy Valley on Tuesday on two separate charges.
Olivier Doleuze was also suspended on a careless riding charge at the conclusion of an inquiry that was carried over from Tuesday night. The Frenchman's penalty was two days' suspension and a fine of $35,000.
Wendyll Woods was found to have no case to answer for tightening that occurred near the winning post with a lap to travel in the final event on Tuesday night, in which he handled runner-up Healthy Wealthy.
Doleuze is rarely far from the action, and the flamboyant Frenchman claimed his 11th winner for the term when Lucky Dice landed a longshot betting move to win the fourth event at $111.50 (for $10).
The win continued a strange sequence whereby stables are landing winners with substitute jockeys when their retained riders are sidelined by suspension, or unable to make the weight.
