Imagine a diet of just Big Macs, fries and Coke for a whole month. How would that make you feel? American filmmaker Morgan Spurlock found out.

In his controversial documentary Super Size Me, first-time director Spurlock aims to prove to the world that McDonald's - and other purveyors of fast food - are evil.

Spurlock believes that America's obesity epidemic can be attributed to the rise of fast food. To justify his belief, he ate nothing but McDonald's food for a month.

Towards the end of his ordeal, he not only gained 11kg, but suffered from a number of worrying health problems.

Don't be mistaken into thinking that Super Size Me only contains footage of Spurlock eating hamburgers and fries.

The film, which earned Spurlock the documentary directing prize at Sundance Film Festival, is highly entertaining and educational. Spurlock conducted many interviews with people in the food industry and clearly presents crucial figures and background information relating to America's fast food culture.
