Thomas Dolby has been a thread in nightclub Fabric, lovingly sharing his passion and talent for stroking the vinyl. He is adored in London and serves some impressive beats for dedicated disciples. But an invitation from resident Kee Club DJ Vinnie drew him to Hong Kong shores for a killer set that attracted scores of house fanatics. Yet while there seems to be an obvious, thriving club scene in Hong Kong, there is an underground faction. 'Major labels push the same old fast-food music,' Dolby tells CitySeen. 'Hong Kong is exciting for DJs that aren't blinded by MTV culture. There is more to clubbing than chart music. I want to play here because I find it a challenge. 'It's exhilarating to play a part in an evolving music scene.'
