Spa-cious
Menthoderm's Skin Nursery has moved to bigger premises at 3/F, CNAC Group Building, 10 Queen's Road Central (tel: 2147 3803). The larger spa has five treatment rooms including a VIP room complete with all the amenities, including its own shower. Another addition is the relaxing waiting lounge with teas, fresh juices and refreshments. Separate showers, changing areas and personal lockers for men and women are also now available. Luscious lashes
Bourjois, one of France's oldest beauty brands (it introduced the world's first powder blush), has introduced its makeup line to Hong Kong. Its Pump Up the Volume Waterproof mascara ($99, above) promises thicker lashes with waterproofing using carnauba wax, a waterproofing agent found on some plants. There is a metal ring on the mascara dispenser to which you can clip one of six accessories - wet-look gloss, lash strengthening cream, silver glitter highlighter, volumising mascara for lower lashes and two chrome colours. Eye therapy
Talika's Lipocils first burst onto the scene more than 50 years ago, giving women longer and thicker lashes and eyebrows. However, if your brows still need a helping hand, try Talika's new Eyebrow Extender ($230), which consists of a transparent gel filled with fibres that look like real hair. Fill out your eyebrows and wait for them to dry; wash off at the end of the day with cleanser.
