Favourite piece
Silk cord with 'goodies'.
'This piece of jewellery was conceptualised by myself, and made in Italy especially for me. My mother was an avid collector of jewellery and bought diamonds in packets, so I had a tassel of goodies assembled on a braided silk cord. I call it my precious 'kish- kosh of jingle jangles'. It consists of three large pear-cut diamonds, another two large round diamond-cuts surrounded with smaller diamonds in a thread-like design, with baroque pearls and jade pieces. It's something easy to wear, certainly very different and absolute 'bling'.
It's a favourite because it reminds me how blessed I am to have all these beautiful stones from my mum! I've worn it a number of times, but one I especially remember was at the opening party of the Biennales des Antiquaires in Paris. I had many compliments that evening.'
