An urban improvement project will be generating several positions for engineering specialists. Maurice Lee & Associates, a civil environmental, geotechnical, structural engineering and architectural firm, is inviting applications for resident site positions.
The firm seeks a resident engineer and assistant resident engineer for its urban drainage improvement project in Tsuen Wan and Kwai Chung. Other positions include resident assistant inspector of works, resident surveying officer (engineering), resident works supervisors I and II, and a resident assistant clerical officer. They will be required to work on the upgrading and replacing of stormwater drains and box culverts.
Those applying for the resident engineer post should be corporate members of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineer (HKIE) (Civil Discipline), elected after December 5, 1975 (or equivalent) and have relevant post-qualification experience. Applicants should have been in a position of responsibility in the supervision of construction contracts of a similar nature.
Applicants for the post of assistant resident engineer should have satisfied the academic requirements in full for corporate membership of the HKIE (Civil Discipline) or equivalent. They should also have a minimum three years' post-qualification experience.
Applicants for the other posts, although not engineers, should likewise be able to meet stringent academic and vocational requirements in order to win places on the project.
