Ursula Neuhauser was already going to have a pretty memorable birthday - her company, Nice Connection, had flown about 20 of its staff from Germany and Austria to help her celebrate the big day.
But then her business partner, Werner Cornelius, decided to go one step further by arranging one of the world's biggest flying 'birthday cards'.
'We wanted to do something outstanding for her,' Mr Cornelius said. 'We have known each other for 25 years and we started this company together in 1997.'
Being a gentleman, Mr Cornelius would reveal only that Mrs Neuhauser was celebrating a 'significant' birthday.
Nice Connection is a garment manufacturer supplying the high-end ladies knitwear market in Germany and other parts of Europe. Mrs Neuhauser is one of the company's designers.
'She has been so loyal and positive, even during the Sars crisis, and we just wanted to give her something spectacular,' Mr Cornelius said.
