Before she impressed the Hong Kong crowd with her flawless Mandarin at the Harry Winston gala dinner last week, CitySeen spoke to Oscar-winner Mira Sorvino (pictured) at her hotel about Chow Yun-fat, learning new languages and being a new mum. Sorvino, 37, also brought along her less-than-month-old daughter, Mattea, and her new young husband. Sorvino, who stars with Chow in the movie The Replacement Killers, said that although they had not kept in touch, she very much enjoyed working with him. 'After a movie, everyone says they'll keep in touch, but in reality, it's just hard to keep up with everyone you meet,' she said. Having a natural ability to learn languages, the Harvard graduate told CitySeen she is now learning Russian for her next role in the movie Leningrad. Though commanding a new language is extremely time consuming, it is nothing compared to the time invested in a baby. 'We spend every second on the baby,' says the Hollywood actress. 'Even when we go shopping now, it's straight to the baby store.'
