Li Hop-chung, Newsstand vendor

Christmas does not mean much to me, personally. It's just like any other day. I've been working at this newsstand in Wan Chai for more than 10 years now, and in this business you don't get a lot of time off.

I work 14 hours a day, every day. After work, I just have time to eat and go straight to bed. The only holidays I get are three days at Lunar New Year, and that's only because they don't print newspapers. If the newspapers printed, I'd have to work those days as well.

I have a son and daughter in their 20s and we have celebrated Christmas at home every year since they were small.

When they were young they loved Christmas. We would decorate the house and put up some coloured lights.

We even put a little tree in the corner of the living room.
