When British multimedia designer Oz Dean flew to Hong Kong from Sydney in 2000, he must not have been feeling too well. For it was on that flight that Oz stared at an airplane sick bag and came up with the idea of 'Design for Chunks'.

Since then, he has organised three annual contests to adorn the banal in-flight sick bag.
'Puking in dull bags can no longer be accepted,' writes Oz on the Design for Chunks website. 'Imagine your delight when you discover the receptacle you are about to puke into is of the highest pedigree.' The top 20 winners have recently been announced online for this year's contest, which is supported by Virgin Atlantic for the first time. The top designs can be seen online in all their glory at www.designforchunks.com.
The winning entries will be printed and distributed globally on Virgin Atlantic flights for six months, and will make their debut at the London Heathrow Club Lounge this month.
With Virgin Atlantic founder Sir Richard Branson flying into town for a cocktail reception today, CitySeen hopes he doesn't have a similar upsurge of inspiration on the flight.
