Para/Site has announced that Tobias Berger will be appointed curator in 2005. The full-time appointment is a new professional development in Para/Site. Berger is currently the director of Artspace, which is one of New Zealand's key art institutions. Prior to joining Artspace in 2003, Berger was the curator of the successful Eighth Baltic Triennial of International Arts in Lithuania. One of Berger's objectives for Para/Site is to contribute to the development of the Hong Kong arts scene, which boasts many artists but few curators. He also wants to promote artistic exchange between the local and international art scenes.
