The creativity of primary schoolchildren won them an award in an annual comic-strip drawing competition to celebrate Disney's Imagination Day 2004 last week. The adventures of a blind kitten in search of wonderland with his bird pals, by La Salle Primary School, and how a student missed his family while on a study tour to space, by Po Leung Kuk Leung Chow Shun Kam Primary School, took the grand prizes. The competition, which was this year titled Story of Your Imagination, was open to all primary school pupils in Hong Kong, Guangzhou, Shanghai and Beijing, and aimed to inspire children's creative talents. The Disney Imagination Day was first launched in 2001 t9o celebrate the 100th anniversary of Walt Disney. Winners will receive a comic book with all the winning entries from the four cities in February.
