Where can I get a long white jacket that looks like a scientist's lab coat? It's a joke gift for a friend, so I don't want anything too expensive, but I'd like it to look like a proper lab coat, with big pockets and all.
Coat In The Act, Tseung Kwan O
The Dictator rules: It's for 'a friend'? Yeah, right. I don't want to know. Just find a medical supplier in your area and they should be able to sort you out - get you a lab coat, that is. Liano Apparel (9/F, Willy Commercial Building, 28 Wing Kut Street, Central, tel: 2815 2863) can make one to measure ($350) or sell a ready-made one in standard small, medium or large sizes ($250). Goldtex Uniforms (412 Portland Street, Prince Edward, tel: 2749 9932) has cheaper coats for $150. Since most are made from synthetic fibres, just this once I will advise buying the cheapest option. Crown Ying Fashion (flat A7, 8/F, Tonic Industrial Centre, 26 Kai Cheung Road, Kowloon Bay, tel: 2243 2018;
www.crownying.biz.com.hk) sells them for $90, while Tai Hing Fashion & Uniform (25 Tai Yuen Street, Wan Chai, tel: 2891 0078) has the cheapest lab coats for $70.
Help! Winter is coming and I've run out of my Johnson & Johnson mousse. I can't find it here. Where do they sell it?
Oil Right Now, Kowloon Tong
The Dictator: Isn't it amazing what suckers for packaging consumers are? I assume you mean a skin product called Johnson's Baby Oil in mousse form. I'm tempted to keep its location secret just to prove you don't need gimmicks to have nice skin. We found it at Bumps to Babes in Central (5/F, Pedder Building, 12 Pedder Street, Central, tel: 2522 7112) for only $34.90. If you like this non-greasy alternative to the oil, the brand also makes a gel form.
