Witnesses sought in motorcycle accident
Police have appealed for witnesses after a motorcyclist was killed in a crash in Kwai Chung yesterday. The 28-year-old man, who was found unconscious beside his motorcycle on Kwai Chung Road under a footbridge at 9am, was taken to Princess Margaret Hospital where he was declared dead. Police urge witnesses to call 2611 3271 or 2611 3200.
In a separate case, a motorcyclist, 23, and his 21-year-old passenger were injured when a taxi rammed the back of their bike on the Canal Road flyover in Wan Chai at 2.30am. The two men were in stable condition in Eastern Hospital last night.
illegal worker charged after raid in yuen long
One of the seven people arrested in a raid on illegal workers on Monday has been charged with breaching his conditions of stay. The mainlander, 43, was caught working as a driver at a roadblock in Yuen Long and will appear in the Sha Tin Court today. His employer was also arrested but has not been charged.
