Actor Daniel Wu Yin-cho had more to lose than just face if he didn't bring home the Golden Horse Award for best supporting actor last week for his performance as the villain in New Police Story.

Wu told CitySeen he received a phone call from good friend and mentor Jackie Chan. 'Jackie told me, 'if you don't get the award, I don't want to see you again'.' Thank goodness, Wu walked away with the award.

He said Chan phoned him after the ceremony and asked 'Can I see you yet?'
