The Last Breakthrough continues into its final week on TVB Jade at 9.35pm (unless otherwise stated).

Episode 25 (December 20)

Fun finally knows that Kiu is mad at him because he has lied to her, and decides to go to Kenya to apologise.

Heng receives chemotherapy but shows minimal progress. His body becomes weak as a result of the medication's side-effects.

Episode 26 (December 21)

Heng finds the  cancer treatment intolerable and even contemplates suicide. His friends decide to ask Ching, who is  in Kenya, to help. Ching rushes back to Hong Kong to see Heng and reveals her true feelings for him, hoping that he would continue the treatment.

Heng - thinking that Ching is doing it simply out of pity - rushes out to the road and almost gets hit by a car. He passes out, and when he regains consciousness, he's happy to see Ching by his side.

Episode 27 (December 22)

Fun proposes to  Kiu during a hiking trip.  Kiu says yes and they make a vow in the mountains.

Hing successfully removes Heng's tumour in the liver.

Long Shing's landlord decides to raise the rent. Kiu is pregnant.

Episode 28 (December 23)

Long Shing closes down and everybody starts a new chapter in life. Jing returns to Hong Kong for Fun and Kiu's wedding. Yau fulfils her dream of opening her own coffee shop with  Ching's help.

Fun runs pre-natal exercise classes with Kiu  as demonstrator.

Fun is very concerned about Kiu and the baby. Kiu feels pressured and dares not tell Fun about her ovarian cyst.

Episode 29 (December 24)

Kiu is sent to hospital due to intense abdominal pain and is diagnosed with ovarian cancer. Fun comforts her, saying that with regular check-ups, the cancer shouldn't affect her  pregnancy.

Kiu's cancer is spreading. Fun makes the painful decision of asking Kiu to terminate the pregnancy and receive treatment. Kiu refuses.

Episode 30 (December 26, 9.05pm)

There's a change in Kiu's condition and a Caesarean (operation) is necessary.  The baby is delivered safely, but Kiu falls into a coma.

A year later, Fun is raising his daughter by himself.

He continues to treat patients while waiting for Kiu to wake up from the coma.
