Updated at 5.29pm: The Buildings Department approved 14 building plans in November - six on Hong Kong Island, five in Kowloon and three in the New Territories, a spokesman said on Wednesday. Eight of these were for apartments and apartment/commercial developments; one was for commercial developments; one was for factory and industrial developments; and four were for community services developments, the spokesman said. Consent was also given in November for work to start on 13 building projects. These would provide 53,372 square metres of gross floor area for domestic use. This would involve 791 units, and 93,344 square metres of gross floor area for non-domestic use, he said. The department has also received notification of the commencement of work for 10 building projects. It also issued 14 occupation permits - three on Hong Kong Island, one in Kowloon and 10 in the New Territories.
