carlsberg sells stake in tibet brewery venture
Danish beer maker Carlsberg International has agreed to sell about a third of its holding in a mainland brewery joint venture to a government-backed Danish fund.
In a statement filed to the Shenzhen Stock Exchange yesterday, Carlsberg's mainland partner said the Danish Industrialisation Fund for Developing Countries would now own a 17 per cent stake in Tibet Lhasa Brewery.
Tibet Galaxy Science and Technology Development said it would retain its 50 per cent interest in the mainland brewery venture.
Carlsberg's stake in Tibet Lhasa Brewery will be reduced to 33 per cent after the transaction.
'Our strategic co-operation with Carlsberg starting at the beginning of the year was bridged up by the Tibet government and the Danish fund,' Tibet Galaxy said. Annette Chiu
