A man, 41, jumped to his death inside the Sands casino in Macau last night after losing more than $3 million.

Macau police said the man climbed over a 1-metre-high barrier on the third floor of the casino and started walking along a ledge about 6pm.

People inside the casino immediately notified security guards, but just as they approached the man, he took off his coat and jumped 20 metres to the ground.
