Live life to fullest
Every day is a new chance to choose who you are, says 23-year-old wheelchair racer Kurt Fearnley. Fearnley was born paralysed from the waist down, but it has not stopped him from pursuing his goals.
The Australian - who won golds in the 5,000 metres and marathon at the Athens Paralympic Games in September - shared his aspirations and experiences with students at Po Leung Kuk Tang Yuk Tien College last week.
During his three-day visit to the school, Fearnley not only gave talks, but also raced and played basketball with the students.
He said he fell in love with racing 10 years ago.
'Every day I've spent racing has been just incredible. I have no regrets and I enjoy everything that I do. I look forward to another 10 years of racing,' he said.
'I compete in the marathon because it's the toughest event in the Paralympics. [It] constantly puts your body under stress. I find it incredibly challenging.'
