There was good and bad news on the Immigration Department website listing photos of missing Hong Kong residents yesterday: four of the 15 listed people had been found safe and well, but seven more photos of missing Hongkongers were added.

Husband and wife Tang Kam-ki, 39, and Polly Chu Po-wa, 35, had been travelling in mountainous areas in Sri Lanka but finally contacted their families and confirmed that they were safe. Phennapha Fong, 46, and Chung Yuk-chuen were also confirmed as safe.

But seven more photos were posted on the site at www.info.gov.hk/info/tsunamis/. New on the list are: Alexander Lars Arne Lindman, a 15-month-old Swedish baby washed away in the tsunami from the Golden Buddha Beach Resort in Kho Pra Thong, Phang Nga, Thailand; a French couple, Regis Claude Michel Marchal, 44, Sylvie Renee Francine Marchal, 47, and their daughter Thea Laurence Marchal, 10, all staying at the Sofitel Hotel in Khao Lak. Their rescued son has returned to France.

Three Chinese men were also added to the list. They are Hui Kwok-wai, 36; Lam Chi-tat, 64; and Lam Kin-chung, 42, who was staying at the Sofitel Magic Lagoon in Phuket.

A total of about 60 Hongkongers remained missing yesterday, down from 109 on Saturday. Missing are 41 in Thailand, seven in Indonesia, one in Malaysia, one in Sri Lanka and 10 in other areas. They are not on the Immigration Department's website as there is no details on them.
