For all of you who own a pet and want to care for it properly, review the following guidelines.

When we refer to something that has been mentioned earlier or something that will be mentioned, we often use 'above' and 'below', e.g. 'Please refer to the table above [something that has been mentioned] / below [something that will be mentioned] for the list of winners.'

Be careful as to where you put the words 'above' and 'below'. You can either say 'Please refer to the table above for the list of winners.' or 'Please refer to the above table for the list of winners.' Both are correct.

It's also correct to say 'Please refer to the table below for the list of winners.' However, we don't say 'Please refer to the below table for the list of winners' because 'below' is not an adjective. In this situation, you can use 'following' instead: 'Please refer to the following table for the list of winners.'
