Take Herbert Lee along when you have dinner with your mother-in-law and you'll be able to enjoy your meal without any interruptions from her. The Macau resident is quite a chatterbox and is making a bid to enter the Guinness Book of World Records - for giving the World's Longest Speech. The current record holder is Errol Muzawazi from Zimbabwe, who spoke non-stop for 621/2 hours.
To get his larynx limbered up for his record bid at the end of next month, Mr Lee will be doing a trial run this weekend, with funds raised going to tsunami relief efforts. He'll test his stamina by speaking for 24 hours from midday Saturday at the Westin Resort in Macau. We're expecting a good result because he has the right credentials: he's the immediate past president and founder of the Macau Toastmasters club, an organisation dedicated to improving oral communication skills.
