Yip set for another Wealthy win
The stable of Dennis Yip Chor-hong has certainly been in sparkling form since the return to Hong Kong of newly retained stable jockey Eric Saint-Martin and it will pay to keep this winning association right on side.
Already this season, Racing Post's Ready To Win stable has profited from two of the Yip graduates, Sunrise Rainbow and Dashing Thunder, and today we are going to add another one in promising Danehill four-year-old Wealthy.
This fellow has raced just five times for two wins and a second, and then a last-start fourth to Green Treasure over 1,600 metres at Sha Tin on November 28. Wealthy has been freshened up since that race and his recent trackwork suggests this was definitely the right move.
Wealthy is only a lightly-framed gelding, with his weight on Thursday being just 982 pounds.
For that reason, he is better when his runs are spaced and that's exactly what will be happening when he tackles his next assignment - and his first for us - at Sha Tin today.
