AUSTRALIAN hairdressing chain supremo, Steve Ackerie, who introduced Hong Kong to his Jager cosmetic line late last year, is selling his magnificent Queensland Gold Coast home.

The home takes in two prime blocks with 90 metres of private water frontage.

Mr Ackerie, or Stefan, as he is known to many Australians had the Paradise Waters property - one hour's drive south of Brisbane - built 15 years ago.

In 1989, he bought the property next door, knocked it down to extend his own home and cultivate extensive gardens and built a putting green complete with sand bunker.

The millionaire society hairdresser first put the home and two blocks on the market in 1990 for A$2.9 million ($HK14.8 million).

Mr Ackerie said his passion for boating had finally won through and he is having a luxury cruiser built to live in.

He said it had taken him five years to decide to sell his palatial home, which sits on the largest block in Paradise Water's Admiralty Drive and has sweeping views of the coastline, the hinterland and the Nerang River.
