RAISE MONEY FOR THE NEEDY
Every year my resolution is the same: to try my best to raise money to help the needy. I've made this resolution for 20-something years, and I've always managed to succeed. In fact, each year has finished up exceeding my expectations in terms of money raised. I have many kind, loyal friends and people are so generous.
This year, I didn't expect so much by way of corporate contribution. Friends like Watson's, ParknShop, Mannings and Wellcome have all had great ideas for donating to charity so I was invited to many events, which I try to attend. My other resolution is to learn painting or photography, in which I have a great interest, but I haven't managed that yet.
I am very keen on exercising to keep up my energy, and this is one resolution I never miss, no matter how busy I am. I like to exercise early in the morning, when I can control my time. I walk to The Peak for 1? hours, which I enjoy very much. It's free, gets me out in the fresh air, is good for the system and keeps my body in shape. To people who say they don't have time to exercise, I say: take charge - get up earlier!
I am most proud of my charity work and my exercise: this is my power. I also try my best to keep evenings free for family time.
For 2005 I wish my whole family health and happiness. I hope my charity work is even more successful; that Hong Kong's economy will boom; that everyone has jobs; and that there is peace in the world - not only for 2005 but for all the years to come.
