Mainland star's sentimental hat
You cannot go a day without seeing his face somewhere on the mainland, or hearing his signature raspy voice.
Having sold nearly 6 million copies of his debut album, Dao Lang (pictured) was the most wanted singer on the mainland last year. When CitySeen spotted him last week, Dao was wearing a no-name baseball hat with frayed brim, which looked as if it had been in some kind of unfortunate accident. Dao told CitySeen that the hat was a gift from Alan Tam Wing-lun, and he had been wearing it for half a year.
'It was new when I received it, but then the brim was frayed when we were shooting music videos together,' Dao said, referring to videos for Tam's new album Heaven and Earth.
'I have been listening to Principal Tam's songs for twenty-something years. It's really exciting to be able to work with him,' he said.
Dao may be the hottest rising star on the mainland, but he is still just a fan of a superstar, after all.
