Youth admits raping schoolgirls
A TEENAGER yesterday admitted raping three girls - the youngest only 12 years old.
Chong Yue-kwan, 18, a printing mechanic, also admitted robbing two victims.
But he pleaded not guilty to a further 10 charges - including rape, buggery, robbery and possession of a firearm - which will lie on file, not to be proceeded with without the consent of the court.
Senior Crown Counsel Peter Lavac said Chong's first victim, aged 19, was attacked at a Hunghom estate on March 26, 1992. The woman struggled and was punched in the face. Chong pulled her by the hair and put some wire around her neck to a landing, where he raped her, the court heard.
He then took $170 from her handbag and raped her a second time.
In the second incident, the court heard that on June 2, 1992, a 13-year-old girl was in a lift lobby at a Hunghom estate when she saw Chong. She was afraid to get in the lift with a strange man and took the stairs, but Chong followed her and dragged her to a landing, where he assaulted her and then raped her.
Mr Lavac said the girl was a virgin and in pain but Chong refused to stop.
