applications worth $698m accepted
The Quality Education Fund has accepted 1,815 applications worth $698 million in its latest round of submissions which ended on December 31 last year. The applied projects were mainly related to effective teaching and learning, IT education and improvement in schools IT infrastructure. The results will be announced in May.

Ocean Park Conservation Foundation has launched a 'University Student Sponsorship Programme in Marine Conservation' for students to participate in marine conservation in Asian waters. The programme, which is jointly organised with the Swire Institute of Marine Science of the University of Hong Kong, aims to inspire local university students to consider a career in the field of marine conservation.
HKU makes london connection
The University of Hong Kong and London Business School have entered a collaborative agreement which, starting from 2007, will enable a maximum of 60 HKU MBA students to take part in the MBA elective courses at the London school along with its own MBA students for up to 10 weeks.
