Louis Vuitton continues to assert its presence in Asia with an expanded store at the Sofitel Metropole, Hanoi (below). At 1,400 sq ft, it's triple the size of the original store and is designed to combine elements of the hotel's colonial heritage with contemporary touches. In other news, the brand has unveiled its spring/summer 2005 advertising campaign staring actress du jour Uma Thurman, which will appear next month.

If you're looking for hip designs from New York, visit Ciarla's only trunk show in Hong Kong, this Saturday from 12pm-6pm at the Holiday Inn Golden Mile, Tsim Sha Tsui. Created by New York designer Jessica Ciarla, the collection (right) is sold in funky boutiques throughout the US. Expect ultra-feminine styles of the 1960s. For details, call 9888 8851.
