TRIPLE champion trainer John Moore dominated last night's Happy Valley meeting with a brilliant 392-1 treble.
Moore, who would love nothing more than to equal arch rival Brian Kan Ping-chee's performance of four successive championships in the late 80s, propelled himself to eight winners for the season and second in the standings behind Lawrie Fownes who is two clear.
The treble started with 16-1 chance Cheguei in the feature Wayfoong Centenary Bowl who was completing a treble of his own, having won his only three races this season since moving from Eddie K. C. Lo to Moore.
Parkview Fame notched a facile middle leg when making all and sprinting away with the sixth event, a local riders' affair.
But the star performance of the night came from Moore's Happy Money in the last. The son of Gielgud scooted clear to win by an impressive five lengths against a decent field over the 1,235-metre course to issue a very strong claim for an International Bowl entry.
Happy Money's time of one minute, 12.5 seconds was only 0.3 seconds slower than Helene Star's best for the distance. He won unchallenged and eased down.
