Updated at 5.44pm: Police on Friday appealed to the public for information on the whereabouts of an elderly man who went missing earlier this month. The 86-year-old man, named Lau Tong, was last seen at his daughter's home in Lai On Estate, Sham Shui Po on Monday, a spokesman said. He failed to return to his home to Lai Kok Estate. His daughter reported his disappearance to police on Wednesday. Mr Lau is about 1.65 metres and weighs about 49.9 kilograms. He is thin, has a round face, short white hair and a broken index finger, the spokesman said. He was last seen wearing a long-sleeve woollen jersey, a pair of dark coloured long trousers and dark leather or cloth shoes. The spokesman said the missing man liked hiking in the vicinity of Kam Shan Country Park and fishing at Tsim Shan Tsui Pier, North Point Pier and Plover Cove Reservoir.
