After eight years, Norwegian group D'Sound have come up with a compilation of their best songs. Comprised of vocalist Simone Larsen, guitarist Jonny Sjo and drummer Kim Ofstad, D'Sound plays a fusion of acid jazz, soul, R&B, funk and pop. Some of their funkiest pieces include Ain't Giving Up, All I Wanna Do and Good Man, Good Girl. Tracks like If you get scared, Do I Need a Reason, My Greatest Flaw and Give Myself Away have a light rock feel reminiscent of Michelle Branch. Smooth Escape and Slow Dancing, French Kissing are two of their best mellow tunes. As the years pass, the band are showing a greater influence of drum and bass and modern soul. They are also rated as one of the best live bands in Norway. The trio have had several successful tours around Norway, including concerts at the Molde Jazz Festival. If you haven't heard of D'Sound before, this 21-track album will make you an instant fan.
