CANTONESE COMEDY
The Life and Death of Almost Everybody is an imaginative play based on the novel by David Campton, which portrays the lunacy of humans.
The play will be performed in Cantonese by drama students from the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts. It has been adapted by Anthony Chan, who also directs.
The story revolves around an assistant stage manager who is tempted to experiment with the magical power of the theatre. She creates a young man and a young woman from a pile of dirt. Soon afterwards, more characters appear and the situation gets out of control.
Performances are scheduled at 7.45pm from today to Saturday, with a matinee at 2.45pm on Saturday. Tickets cost $90 (adults) and $45 (students), and are available from HK Ticketing on 31 288 288.
