FORMER Legislative Councillor Ho Sai-chu, his wife and two others charged with fraud will find out next week if there is a case to answer. Company directors Ho, 54, his wife Ko Tze-ha, 47, accountant Larry Ng Lit-fai, 37, and solicitor Stephane Hui Bon-hoa, 40, have been on trial for 53 days on a charge of conspiring to defraud Tin Tin Yat Pao (International) Ltd between January 1987 and June 1990. At the end of submissions of no case to answer made by Charles Ching QC, representing Ho and Ko, Lawrence Lok appearing for Ng and Arjan Sakhrani QC for Hui, District Court Judge Moylan said yesterday he would deliver his ruling next Thursday. It has been claimed that as directors of the company Ho and Ko misappropriated $3.1 million. Ng and Hui are accused of assisting them.
