REVISIT THE NEW WORLD

Johan Padan and the Discovery of America is a comedy based on the  work of Dario Fo, winner of the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1997.

Translated and performed by comedian Mario Pirovano, the show takes the audience on  a revisionist version of Columbus' voyage to the New World.

He will sing and dance in this 90-minute one-man show.

The show will be performed in English from tomorrow until Sunday at 7.45pm, in the Hong Kong Cultural Centre's Studio Theatre. Tickets at $250, $180 and $130 for adults; $90 and $65 for students, are available from Urbtix on 2734 9009.

CHANGING FACE OF HONG KONG

Cityscape in Films is a  programme comprising movies from the 1950s to  the present which  highlight the changing face  of Hong Kong.

The  films  include local productions such as Full Alert, Little Cheung and PTU, as well as foreign movies like  The World of Suzie Wong and Love is a Many-Splendored Thing.

My Life as McDull, a local animation depicting Hong Kong's changing cityscape,  will also be featured.

The screening will take place from tomorrow until March 5

at the cinema of the Hong Kong Film Archive.

Tickets cost $40, with half-price concessions for students, and are available from Urbtix.
