Three international celebrity chefs will be in Bangkok this week to cook a dinner at the Metropolitan Hotel as part of a fund-raiser for victims of the Boxing Day tsunami. Jean-Georges Vongerichten, who has restaurants in Hong Kong (Vong at the Mandarin Oriental), Shanghai and New York, will join David Thompson, from the Michelin-starred Nahm in London, and Neil Perry, from Rockpool in Sydney, at Cy'an restaurant (right) on February 25. The money raised from the 10,000 baht ($2,045) a head dinner will go to Unicef to help affected communities in southern Thailand. The seven-course dinner includes Thompson's cured Chiang Mai pork and oyster on betel leaf, foie gras brulee on brioche with pineapple-kumquat compote by Vongerichten, and Perry's lobster tagine with stuffed dates.
