Corrections & clarifications

Last week's story entitled 'Work on wind turbine heralds tiny step towards green power' wrongly stated the Lamma turbine would produce 1,000kW hours of electricity a year. This should have been 1,000,000kW hours, which is about 0.01 per cent of Hong Kong Electric's production and roughly enough to power 250 average households. The height given for the structure, 46 metres, is the height of the hub, while the blades will add about 25 metres to give a total height of 71 metres. This was a reporter's error.
