A holiday company operating trips to the Baltic states is commemorating the 210th birthday of Lithuania's oldest spa resort by offering a free colonic irrigation to guests. Druskininkai, once a favourite destination for Soviet 'health tourists', was voted one of Europe's top 10 health resorts in 2003, offering everything from mud masks to music-chamber therapy. The Baltic Holidays Lithuania Spa break comes with the free colonic irrigation and includes a stay at

the new three-star Regina Hotel (www.lithuanianhotels.com/hotels/regina). Such cleansing isn't obligatory in Druskininkai, but Baltic Holidays claims that combining 'zip with Zen' - three nights in the party town of Vilnius, followed by four days spent clearing body and mind - makes for an 'unforgettable experience'.
