3pm:  Third plenum of the 10th CPPCC opens in Beijing. Chairman Jia Qinglin will deliver the work report of the CPPCC Standing Committee, after the plenum approves the agenda of the meeting.

SATURDAY, March 5

9am:  Third plenum of the 10th National People's Congress opens in Beijing. Premier Wen Jiabao   will deliver the Government Work Report.

TUESDAY, March 8

9am:  The vice-chairman of the NPC Standing Committee, Wang Zhaoguo, will brief the NPC on the anti-secession bill.

SATURDAY, March 12

3pm:  The CPPCC will deliberate on personnel matters, which is expected to include the vote on new vice-chairmen and standing committee members, including Chief Executive Tung Chee-hwa, before the plenum closes on the same day.

MONDAY, March 14

The NPC meeting will close, followed by Premier Wen's press conference.
