Yet another Japanese restaurant has opened in Causeway Bay. The chef of Tori Hachi, Katayama Satohiro, specialises in robatayaki - grilled meats, seafood and vegetables, such as ox tongue ($40 for one skewer), chicken wings ($40 for two), shiitake mushrooms ($30), kibinago fish ($35) and minced chicken meat ($28). There are also other popular dishes such as sushi, sashimi (below; the deluxe assorted sashimi platter is $250), sliced beef rolled with spring onions and garlic (bottom; $58), simmered karei fish ($88) and beef shabu shabu ($250). Tori Hachi (1/F Circle Tower, 28 Tang Lung Street, tel: 2591 0101) seats up to 80 people and has two private rooms.
