six hurt as Tired driver rams taxi into bus stop
A taxi driver, apparently exhausted after being on the job for more than 20 hours, rammed his cab into a bus stop, injuring six people, in San Po Kong yesterday. Leung Wai-keung, 46, was driving in Choi Hung Road outside Rhythm Garden when the crash happened at 2pm, three hours before the end of his second shift. The victims - two men and four women - were taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital, where a 75-year-old woman was in a serious condition and two others were stable last night.
One-year survey to track dangerous eating habits
A $3.2 million one-year survey that begins on Thursday will track more than 50,000 people's eating habits with a focus on food often involved in food poisoning. The Chinese University study will cover such items as abalone, scallop, tuna, salmon, seaweed, pig organs and Chinese lettuce.
