We're told never to look a gift horse in the mouth, but model Kathy Chow Man-kei said receiving gifts from her fans was a little frightening sometimes. Chow was speaking at a ceremony to celebrate the founding of her fan club, 'My Dream Kathy' - the first fan club for a model in Hong Kong - with 50 fans and guests on Sunday in Tsim Sha Tsui.
The 30-year-old model recalled that she was repulsed at first when she received gifts from fans, especially one male fan who gave her 'intimate items'. Naturally, CitySeen supposed she was referring to under garments, but Chow clarified that the fan had actually sent her bathing products.
While CitySeen was left scratching our heads over the logic linking passionate fans, intimate items and bathing products, Chow continued by saying she was also shocked by the crazy antics of some fans who gave her the shocking gift of ... household items.
Chow fans, apparently, found other positive qualities about her besides her logic. Her fan club already has 60 members and, yes, you guessed it: most are males.
