The chairman and two executive directors of a listed company were arrested for alleged false accounting, it was revealed last night. The Growth Enterprise Market-listed Tungda Innovative Lighting Holdings said that chairman Chu Chien-tung and executive directors Chu Sen-hei and Chu Chick-kei had been released on bail. The police said the three men were arrested on March 9, when officers from the Commercial Crime Bureau searched the company's office in Wan Chai. 'The search warrant related to an investigation of a suspected offence, namely false accounting,' the company said. 'Certain accounting records, computer equipment and documents in the possession of the group and the executive directors were seized by the police in relation to the investigation.' The arrested men were told to report back to the police between the end of the month and early April. No one has been charged. The firm has been under investigation by the Security and Futures Commission since July 8 last year. Trading of its shares have been suspended since July 29.
