Impressive Jade Dancer set to score on debut for Hall

It will be well worth taking a chance with David Hall's debutant Jade Dancer in the opening leg of the Triple Trio tomorrow at Sha Tin, particularly given some positive trackwork from the Australian import in recent weeks.

The son of Jade Robbery has impressed in each of his three trials, each coming a month apart, and has what it takes to score on his first outing in Class Four.

The patience Hall has shown in his preparation should pay dividends at the first time of asking, especially considering he has struck a relatively weak contest.

He will need an ounce of luck from barrier 10 but has displayed enough gate speed in his trials to suggest he can be positioned wherever Brett Prebble desires.

Handbag Fortune has a decent record down the straight course and this looks an easier assignment for him.

Red Storm Rising, who displayed plenty of early speed during his only turf barrier trial win over the course and distance, has shown enough promise to be competitive on debut.

Based on his better form, Strawberry Kisses must be given plenty of respect in this contest, even though his form has been a touch erratic.

Main Attraction was placed over the course and distance a couple of starts back and is one to consider, while Golden Farm will relish the drop in grade and cannot be ruled out of a minor place.

Finding a reliable banker in the middle pin is no easy task, but the all-weather trial of Fortune Lad was promising enough to suggest he can be relied upon.

He should have gone close to winning last time if not for hanging-out badly on the home turn during the Valley mile.

He still did very well to be beaten by only two lengths and should prove hard to beat.

Smart Chief is well suited to the all-weather surface and must be given strong claims to figure in the finish, along with Shining Gem, who won over the all-weather mile on February 5, and based on that effort must be given a decent chance of hitting the frame.

Mr Genki is striking stronger opposition this time round, but is competitively weighted and has often worked well on the specialist surface.

Although he has drawn the outside gate, Floral Dancer handles the all-weather track very well and is more than capable of filling a minor place.

There is a good chance New Milestone will not be pressured too hard in the lead in the final leg, and as a result, must be allocated banker status.

The manner in which he stuck-on over the all-weather mile last time suggests he can handle a step up in trip and he will prove very hard to run down.

The King clearly had excuses in defeat on his latest outing and his previous form was solid enough to warrant inclusion.

Magic Temple and Magic Touch have proven very competitive this season on this surface and both have strong claims to improve on their respective statistics.

Tiramisu has place claims, while Wong's Success showed marked improvement last time and is another to consider.

Glory Years looks the logical selection for banker in the third event following a string of sound performances.

Top Scorer ran well in defeat last time and looks a progressive galloper, while Quick News won over 1,400 metres two starts back and is capable of hitting the frame.

The recent work of Star Prodigy has been impressive and he is one to keep safe as he will relish the drop back to Class Four.
